Richard Hoffman, Candidate City Council Post 4, Fayetteville, GA

Rich was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He graduated from Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, NJ, and attended St. John’s University Queens, Long Island, NY.

Rich began his career in the tire business at Uniroyal Tire Company, where he was employed from September 1963 until January 1976. While at Uniroyal, he held positions starting at a tire order desk, then becoming a territory salesman, assistant district sales manager, and finally national sales manager for wholesale sales.

In January 1976, Rich established Hoffman Tire & Alignment at its current location, 620 N. Glynn Street in Fayetteville. Over the next 44 years he built a successful business there, starting with only one employee and growing to eleven people. Rich was an active member of the Georgia Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association, the Tire Industry Association, and had served as a regional council representative for American Car Care Centers and Tire Pros.

Rich has served as a member of the City of Fayetteville 2017 SPLOST committee, and as a member of the City of Fayetteville 2017 Comprehensive Steering Committee. He served as president of the Fayette County Youth Football Association for 1995-1996, and is a member of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. He has been married to his wife, Sarah Murphy, for forty-four years, and has one son and one grandson who live in Chattanooga, TN. Rich’s hobbies include photography, flying, woodworking projects, and yard work (believe it or not), and he enjoys traveling to many parts of these United States.
